Interview with CEO of GraffersID- Sidharth Jain

Sidharth is chief executive officer of GRAFFERSID website and mobile applications company, which is backed by many ace investors. Selectedfirms had a very insightful conversation with him where he shared his experience and learnings with us :

1. Tell us in brief about your company. How GraffersID had begun this journey?

 

GRAFFERSID is an award-winning web & mobile app development company. 

 

Focused on Startups. Working with Unicorn Startups, Fortune 500 companies, and Market-leading enterprises, GRAFFERSID has been the trustable and reliable partner of Mission-Driven Startups. 

 

During the start of my career, I worked in an MNC. While working there, a friend had recently founded a Startup and was going through a challenging phase. He told me it'd been three months, and there was no traction even after launching the product at the right time. Furthermore, his product was not market fit even after six months of the development cycle. 

 

After researching, I found that the primary reason behind the low startup success rate was the lack of proper tech consultation and technology support. 

 

That is what led to the birth of GRAFFERSID. We decided it was time for Startups to achieve the consultation and help they deserved. So our team always works to ensure that Technology should be the power of startups. 

 

Today, I am proud to say that 90% of Startups who worked with GRAFFERSID are Successful! 

 

Changing the 10% number to 90% for Startups, GRAFFERSID is trying to reduce the gap between success and startups.

 

2. How do you provide direction in GraffersID? What is your role within a company?

 

At GRAFFERSID, management is not specified to only managers or directors. I can easily say that I have never played the role of a leader in managerial activities. We have weekly meetings that are led by juniors. Even a member with less experience is allowed the chance to lead team meetings and discuss projects and ideas. 

 

During one of these meetings, a marketing Intern was given a chance to lead. He came up with a fascinating idea for marketing. He pitched the idea to start gaming and promoting our services through username.

 

Our strategic team started gaming with a common username - GRAFFERSID. Over a week, we got more traffic to the website, and we converted the leads into our clients. 

 

So, that’s how the management works at GRAFFERSID.

 

3. Give us a brief about your enormous achievement in the industry.

 

Generally, the awards, numbers, and team size are counted into achievements. Talking about the same, GRAFFERSID has won multiple awards for UI/UX Design, Flawless product development, and impeccable customer service. 

 

For me, the achievement has been the outcome of Team Work at GRAFFERSID. We have continuously worked to increase the success rate of Startups up to 90%. So yes, 9/10 startups who worked with GRAFFERSID are thriving today.

 

4. What are the key factors to be considered before selecting the right platform for web and mobile application development?

 

Many factors are different for each project. Putting customers at the center of the strategy, we discover many technologies and platforms which should be used to develop. Sometimes, we don’t have proficient developers in the latest tech. So, we hire the best in the Industry expert and get our developers trained in that new tech. 

 

This way, we can serve Startups with Best Quality and affordable pricing. Recently, we concluded a hands-on week of training on ROR.

 

5. What method do you follow for handling web and mobile app development to reach a committed timeline for your clients?

 

I follow the strategy of step-wise analysis for every project. Whenever GRAFFERSID takes on a new project, we break it down into small tasks.

 

Once, we had to complete a project in only one month for one of our clients. The timeline was too short, but it was an important project for the client. So our development team decided to take on the challenge. Unfortunately, during the project, one of our developers was sick. 

 

He could not work for three days. Instead of giving up on the project or delaying it, he worked extra hours for the rest of the days. For that project, completion at the right time meant an opportunity for our client to get a good Investment. The rest of the team worked extra hours; we hired an additional developer to ensure timely delivery. 

 

At GRAFFERSID, we don’t just complete projects; we work with an Intent of attracting success.

 

6. Who is your target audience?

 

When GRAFFERSID started, it was focused on providing consultation to startups. I realized that they were failing due to a lack of proper technical assistance, and since then, it has become my goal to help startups achieve success. We focused entirely on providing all-around technical support to Startups. On that journey, we also worked with Fortune 500 companies, Unicorn Startups, and Market-leading enterprises.

 

Though our focus is still on Startups, we aim to serve global leaders and enterprises with our innovative approach.

 

7. How many optimum factors do you consider for attaining client satisfaction?

 

Satisfaction follows Success. 

 

GRAFFERSID is known for having 95% client retention. We follow a thorough process to ensure that our clients are satisfied. At GRAFFERSID we are reputed for completing Timely Delivery and developing a Bug-Free Product and Fully Functional System. 

 

Other than these, we also consider factors directly related to the client's success, like customer retention, no of sales, and customer experience. We focus on client success. 

 

We had a client once that was stepping into the business world. He wanted to establish his startup in the industry but could not do so even after months of trying. So our team not only discussed his project with him but also talked about his corporate strategy. 

 

We gave him our honest feedback and advice. While our developers were working on his project, our management team helped him set up his business. After a few months, he successfully launched his product and also received much attention from customers.

 

8. What talent expertise do you employ in terms of new-age technologies like IoT, Blockchain, & Big Data?

 

As I already mentioned before, I believe in hiring people that are talented rather than those that have years of experience but nothing to amount to it. Recently, while hiring developers, there were around 10 applications left, and only one place was open. 

 

Before making the final selection,  I checked the rejected applications again. There was one with No Degree but few freelance projects. I interviewed this person and realized he had worked on far more complex projects than the other candidates. We hired him, and he quickly became an asset to our company.

 

9. Regarding corporate strategy, what do you think are the main drivers that make your company stand out from the crowd?

 

Many factors make GRAFFERSID stand out. The first and biggest one would be our hiring strategy. At GRAFFERSID, we believe in talent not degrees or years of experience. The second would be our marketing strategy. You might be surprised to learn that GRAFFERSID has no sales team. Instead, we always come up with new marketing campaigns.

 

In 2018, we came up with a strategy that targeted potential clients. 2-3 Members of our team reached out to them for prospects and asked for a demo of the product. After receiving the demo, GRAFFERSID’s team gave them technical feedback and told them about the product's shortcomings. As planned, many clients asked our team to find a good technical partner to solve that problem. 

 

All of our team members referred to GRAFFERSID. The strategy worked, and we got many clients that would have never reached out because of an ad.

 

10. You’ve been in this sphere for a long time; what is the one piece of advice you want entrepreneurs to take seriously?

 

Chase the goal, not the money. Money is always going to follow whatever you are chasing.  

 

We went the extra mile to accomplish the goal for one of our clients. They had the opportunity to pitch in front of the USA’s best investors. That pitch would turn fortunes for them. But the timeline was only 2 months. 

 

Our development team had to complete the product a week before that. It was a challenging task for us. But our senior development team started planning the process. They decided to hire more developers to complete the project quickly of the best quality. As a result, we delivered the product on time and helped the founder consult with some investors before pitching them. 

 

If I talk about the duration, it was not a feasible project for us. But GRAFFERSID has made it our goal not to let any Startup Down due to Technology. That project not only helped the client receive the funding but also allowed us to get connected with many investors.
